高校時代に仲間と作った１６ミリ映画をきっかけに映像に興味を持ちました。大学卒業後、京都の写真家山岡俊二氏に師事しました。数年のアシスタン経験の後ニューヨークに移住。 フォトグラファーとしてのキャリアをスタートしました。ニューヨークでは料理、レストラン、ホテル、建築を中心に撮影しておりました。レストランは国内外で800軒以上撮影してまいりました。24年のニューヨーク生活の後、2015年に京都に戻り京都を中心に活動しながら年３−４回のニューヨーク出張をこなしております。（現在はコロナ渦の為ニューヨーク出張は控えております)

I was born and raised in Kyoto, Japan, the center of traditional Japanese culture. While making a short 16 mm movie in high school, I developed an interest in film making. I studied photography technology in college. After working for a few years as a photographer’s assistant, I relocated to New York City. I started my career as a professional photographer in 1991 . I have been shooting architecture, still-life, and products. In 2015, I moved back to Kyoto, Japan. I have been able to travel due to the pandemic, but I would like to resume traveling as soon as the situation allows.
